SPECIAL MINISTRY GUESTS COMING TO ADULT EQUIPPING CLASSES:
February 18, 9:30 AM – Cynthia Soderberg of Safe Families will be with us to share about the ministry and its goal to show biblical hospitality. Safe Families for Children is a movement fueled by compassion to keep children safe and families intact. Through Host Families, Family Friends, and Family Coaches, they temporarily host children and provide a network of support to families in crisis while they get back on their feet. For more info, visit safe-families.org.

February 25, 9:30 AM – Bob Touchton of Human Coalition (North Raleigh) will be with us to offer an update on the ministry’s impact in Raleigh. Human Coalition is a champion of life, committed to an audacious mission: to transform our culture of death into a culture of life—to end abortion in America. For more info, visit humancoalition.org.

3:21 COMMUNITY-ON-MISSION CONVERSATION & DINNER, STARTING THIS SUNDAY AT 5:30PM*
Starting this Sunday evening, February 18, through April 15, we will be gathering as a church body to engage with one another on what it means to be a Community-on-Mission during this unique season in the life of Calvary. Before we move out to a temporary worship location later this year, we want to discuss how our Small Groups (Life Groups) can be mobilized to “bring glory to God in this generation and the next, by making disciples where we are and where we are sent.” Here is the format for each evening:

5:30-6 PM – Dinner at a table with your Life Group (those not currently involved in a small group are invited to join a group for the evening or form their own table for the sake of discussion).
6-6:15 PM – Lecture on the evening’s topic with everyone gathered where they are.
6:15-6:45 PM – Small Group break-out Sessions, using the book Community by Brad House to guide the discussion.
6:45-7 PM – Large Group gathering to debrief on insights and ideas arising from the small group discussions.

Please register here so we know how many books, and how much food to order, as dinner will be provided this Sunday, February 18.

If you are an Approved Childcare Worker and have been through Calvary’s Child Protection Plan, please sign-up here to assist with childcare for these events.

*Note: Two weeks have been reserved for a presentation by Calvary’s property team regarding progress on the renovation of our current facility and transition to a temporary location.
