WE WELCOME BILL JAMES, GUEST PREACHER, THIS SUNDAY:
We welcome the return of Bill James as our guest preacher this Sunday. Reverend Bill James and his wife, Kelly, have been married for 30 years and have been blessed by God with four wonderful grown children and two wonderful daughters-in-law. Kelly is originally from Pollocksville, NC and Bill from Tulsa, OK. Together they have served in ministry with Cru, have planted “from scratch” Grace Presbyterian Church in Winnetka, IL, and have served on ministerial staffs of PCA churches, most recently Sr. Associate of The Church of the Good Shepherd in Durham. Currently, Bill serves with PCA’s Mission to North America as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Associate for Church Planting & Gospel Renewal.

NEW SERMON SERIES RESUMES SUNDAY, MAY 26:
Join us Sunday, May 26 at 10:30 AM for the next sermon in our new series, Ruth: There is a Redeemer! For more information on the sermon series, visit the Current Sermon Series page. Please note: Calvary is meeting at Lynn Road Elementary School, while the church undergoes renovations. We will not have Equipping Class or Sunday school while at LRES.

FIRST SUNDAY LUNCH AT WILLIAMS PARK PAVILION, SUNDAY, JUNE 2, 12:15 – 1:30 PM:
On Sunday, June 2, we will have our “First Sunday Lunch” next door at the Williams Park Pavilion in order to meet, engage, and lunch with the community around us at LRES. The church will provide: all-beef hot dogs, buns, condiments, chips, water, ice, plates, napkins, cups, etc. Please bring a side, fruit or dessert, and your own serving utensil. We aren’t able to refrigerate, so cold dishes should be kept in a cooler in your car. Warm dishes can be brought in crock pots and dropped off with Rebecca Camenisch at the Williams Park Pavilion before worship, beginning at 10 AM, where they will be plugged in at 11:30 AM (our electricity use is restricted). SIGN-UP is not required for this event, however you can click here to RSVP with your dish, and to see what dishes other people are bringing. We welcome surprises too! Seating is also limited, so please bring your own chair or picnic blanket and any outdoor games you’d like.
