WE WELCOME GUEST PREACHER, MATT MAHLA, THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 20:
Matt Mahla is a native New Englander, raised mostly outside of Boston, though he ventured south for college to attend Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. There he was introduced to many new things, but none more important than his future wife, Bethany. Matt and Bethany got married shortly after college and spent four years in Charlottesville, VA, where Matt served as an RUF intern at the University of Virginia. The Mahlas then moved to Boston so that Matt could attend Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, where he received his Masters of Divinity and MA in Counseling degrees. Also in Boston, Matt and Bethany had their two sweet children, Vance (born 2016) and Elise (born 2018). In the summer of 2018, the Mahlas moved again, this time to Durham, NC to serve with RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) at Duke University as campus minister. This coming fall will mark the beginning of their fourth year on campus, and Matt and Bethany are excited to see how God will continue to grow the ministry of reaching Duke students for Christ and equipping them to serve him.
