Children’s Ministry

The Children’s Ministry cares for little ones ages 0 – 5 during the entire 10:30 AM Sunday worship service, providing a Nursery for ages 0-2, and offering a Pre-K program for children who have not started Kindergarten.

OUR MISSION: The Mission of Calvary’s nursery ministry is to serve Calvary PCA and the community by providing a welcoming, safe, loving and nurturing environment that shares the love of Christ with little ones and equips parents and caregivers to participate in the ministries of the church.

OUR CHILDREN: We love children at Calvary! We count it a privilege to serve the youngest in our midst and their families.

OUR VOLUNTEERS: Calvary Presbyterian Church seeks to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all nursery workers (paid and volunteer) and children.  As a precaution and to ensure strict accountability from one adult to another, we have adopted the following safeguards:

Background Checks and Ministry Safe Child-Protection Training:  All active Calvary elders, as well as nursery, children and youth workers must undergo a background check process and child-protection training through Ministry Safe.

Training: All of our nursery workers undergo a training in all Calvary nursery and pre-K policies and procedures. The Calvary Children’s Ministry Worker Handbook is available here.

OUR COMMITMENT: Calvary Presbyterian Church is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all children participating in our programs and activities. By implementing the practices outlined in the listed documents below, our goal is to prevent and protect the children of Calvary, and children who visit, from incidents of misconduct or inappropriate behavior while also protecting our workers from unwarranted accusations of improper behavior.
