✨ Looking Ahead to 2026 at Calvary ✨

📌 2026 at a Glance

  • God has been at work at Calvary, and we’re stepping into 2026 encouraged and hopeful 🙌
  • Our core rhythms stay the same: worship, equipping class, life groups, prayer walks, service, outreach events, life together
  • Big moments to mark now: Souper Bowl, Holy Week, Easter, VBS, fall outreach, and Advent
  • We’re calling everyone not just to attend—but to own ministry
  • Equipping Class (Sundays at 9:15 AM) kicks off the year focused on ministry gifts and serving

Hey Calvary,

As we begin to look ahead to 2026, I just want to pause and say this clearly: 2025 was a really good year. I’m proud of you and deeply encouraged by the ways God has been at work among us.

Over this past year, God has brought more people onto Calvary’s property than we’ve seen in a long time. He’s put us in contact with more other-than-Christian people than we have in a long time. Those are not small things. They are early signs of becoming the kind of church we long to be—an outreach outpost, a church truly on mission to reach our neighbors, North Carolina, and the nations for Christ.

So please be encouraged. And at the same time—stay motivated. There is good work still to be done.

🔁 Our Ongoing Rhythms

As we move into 2026, many of our core rhythms will stay the same:

  • ⛪ Sunday Worship
  • 📘 Weekly Equipping Class
    (Sundays at 9:15 AM)
  • 🏠 Life Groups
  • 👟 Prayer Walks
    • Normally on Wednesdays
    • On the 3rd Saturday of each month, we’ll shift to a Saturday prayer walk so families and day-workers can join
    • Occasionally, when a big outreach event is coming up, we’ll place a special Saturday prayer walk right before the eventas a way to pray, meet neighbors, and personally invite people
  • 🏡 Monthly Capitol Oaks Worship
  • 🤝 Monthly Adopt-A-Block
(And we really want everyone involved in this ministry!)

🛠 A Word About Ministry & You

Here’s where I want to gently—but clearly—challenge you.

We don’t just need people to attend these things. We need people to own ministry.

So I want you to start asking:

  • What ministry do I wish Calvary had?
  • What ministry do I feel drawn toward?
  • How has God shaped me to serve?

Then let’s talk about it.

One of the big emphases of our first Equipping Class of the year will be exactly this:🎁 identifying ministry gifts and getting actively involved in ministry.

👉 Equipping Class meets Sundays at 9:15 AM, and if you’ve been on the fence—this is a great time to jump in.

🌱 Looking Ahead with Hope

All of this is just a snapshot of what’s coming. I hope you’re encouraged. I hope you’re excited. And I hope you’re praying—because God is at work, and we want to keep walking faithfully with Him.

May God give the growth.

Grace and peace,

Wes
