Equipping Classes

Equipping Classes meet every Sunday before worship to help us live what we believe. We think together, talk honestly, and practice real-life faith—learning to love one another and serve our Raleigh neighbors with wisdom and grace. Everyone’s welcome to join the conversation.

Equipping Classes resume from winter break on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ… – Ephesians 4:11-13

Why Equipping Matters

We gather to grow in faith that touches every part of life—learning from Scripture, sharing wisdom, and becoming people who love well where we live.

Equipping Classes are meant to be:

  • Grounded in Scripture — learning what God says and how it speaks to real life
Centered on Christ — keeping the gospel at the heart of every topic
Formational — shaping character, wisdom, and love that last
Practical — connecting faith to daily work, home, and relationships
Relational — learning together in honesty and care
Challenging — stretching us to think deeply and grow in maturity
Clear — speaking truth plainly and avoiding confusion

Before the Words: How the Gospel Moves Through Listening, Friendship, and Faithful Presence

The gospel moves at the speed of friendship. This class is about learning to slow down, listen well, and love the people right in front of us. We’ll talk about what it looks like to be good friends and good neighbors—so that faith and conversation flow naturally in everyday life. God’s the one who saves; we just show up, listen, and love.
